My name is David Jackson and I have been programming PHP applications for a number of years. When I started learning PHP I found that books and online tutorials were very dry and heavy going and not really that interesting. It was turning into a chore but I persevered. Once I got through the slog it actually became quite fun so I decided to create a course which would appeal to people who want to start programming in PHP. Aimed at the novice developer, the course is taught by myself, 1-2-1 over a remote connection. We cover all the major aspects of the language. Because we code together in real time I am able to answer any questions through out each session. I am like your very own personal PHP tutor.

What is PHP?

PHP is a server-side scripting language, a script which runs on the server. It was originally designed for web development to produce dynamic web pages. PHP is embedded into an HTML document where the code is processed and HTML returned. It makes your website interactive.

What can you do with PHP?

• Create secure password protected pages
• Write your own Content Management System
• Connect to a database and store content and information
• Upload files, images and view them live on your site
• Create forums and blogs so your members can post their thoughts
• Write a shopping cart to sell your products
• email form submissions 

How does the course work?

The course consists of 12 lessons. 3 of which are free to see if its for you. We cover 1-2 lessons over an hour depending on difficulty. I also set challenging homework which helps you understand the complexities of PHP. Once finished you will have the knowledge and understanding to write your own PHP applications. 

What do we cover?

I have broken the language down into modules. Each module is like a kids building block. Once you have all the pieces you can build what you want. We cover Variables, Arrays, Loops, Functions, Conditional Statements, Database Integration, Database Queries, Security, Authentication and for my star students an introduction into Object Orientated Programming (OOP).

How much does this fantastic course cost?
